So, this is week #1 of my attempt at a New Year's Resolution and I'm very excited about it. I am going to try 52 weeks of Pinterest. . because otherwise I will just continue to pin things I will never do or at least try. I've named it My Year of Pinning.
This week we set up the kids new light table so I went on a search for activities that involved a light table and items that I already had around. I didn't find anything right away that wouldn't require a trip to the store.
Then, I found a pin that suggested you tape Ziploc bags filled with fingerpaints to a window. I thought that this would probably work even better on the light table. And it did. :)

I also tried a new recipe, Crock Pot Shredded Orange Chicken . This is so good. . even Kent loved it and he's not always a huge fan of crockpot meals. I didn't get to take a picture of it because it is all gone. The recipe fed my little family of four easily and I even had enough left for a large lunch the next day.
I didn't have orange juice concentrate but did have five oranges that were very ripe. I juiced the oranges by hand (in my fun old timey juicer from my friend's mom) and zested a whole orange. To add a bit of sweet to this dish I used 2 tsp of maple syrup which made it less healthy but more yummy.
